Meets the highest NIST FIPS verification level achievable for mobile devices: 140-2 Level 3. NIST FIPS 140 is the standard cryptographic program required by the US federal government to protect sensitive data.

It requires no software, is 100% hardware-encrypted with 256-bit AES XTS and has a built-in keyboard PIN authenticated with ultra-fast USB 3.1 (3.0) data transfer.

Works on Windows, Linux, Mac, Android, Symbian and Chrome.

The housing is aluminum alloy and sealed with tamper-resistant security fasteners that are hammered and cemented in place with cured epoxy.

Aegis Fortress L3 supports one independent administrator and one user PIN. Admin Mode controls the device's universal, programmable settings and can only be accessed with an Admin PIN. User mode is limited to basic functions of the external drive such as read/write, unlock/lock, etc. Data on the drive can also be accessed using the admin PIN in user mode.

All Aegis Secure Drives will automatically lock when disconnected from a computer's USB port, power to the USB port is interrupted, or after a programmed period of inactivity.
