Aegis Fortress is software-free, 100% hardware-based, 256-bit AES XTS encrypted, onboard keyboard PIN authentication, with ultra-fast USB 3.1 (3.0) data transfer.
Works on Windows, Linux, Mac, Android and Chrome.
All internal components are protected from physical tampering with a layer of hardened epoxy, and the firmware is locked to prevent any modification, making it resistant to malware attacks such as BadUSB.
Meets U.S. government standards for information technology and computer security. NIST FIPS 140 is a standard cryptographic program required by the US federal government to protect sensitive data. FIPS 140-2 Aegis Fortress validation covers 11 areas of the cryptographic security system, including physical security, cryptographic key management, and design integrity. FIPS 140-2 Level 2 hard drive encryption verification in Aegis Fortress includes both physical tamper-resistant features and identity-based authentication.
Aegis Fortress supports one independent administrator and up to four user PINs. Admin Mode controls the device's universal, programmable settings and can only be accessed with an Admin PIN. User mode is limited to basic external drive functions such as read/write, unlock/lock, etc.
