The housing is aluminum alloy and sealed with tamper-resistant security fasteners that are hammered and cemented in place with cured epoxy.
The administrator sets the minimum and maximum length of the PIN code (from 7 to 16 characters).
The data is protected by a programmable "brute force defense mechanism" that if you attempt to enter a programmed number (4 to 20) consecutive incorrect passwords, the device will delete its own encryption key and destroy the ability to decrypt the stored data.
Aegis Secure Drives will automatically lock when disconnected from a computer's USB port, power to the USB port is interrupted, or after a programmed period of inactivity.
