/e/OS is at the core of our privacy by design ecosystem. We have removed many pieces of code that send your personal data to remote servers without your consent. We don’t scan your data in your phone or in your cloud space, and we don’t track your location hundred times a day or collect what you’re doing with your apps.

/e/OS comes with beautifully designed open-source apps to cover most of your needs: browser, email, calendar, maps, camera and more.
And because /e/OS runs on Android, you can still run most of your favourite Android apps.

Access apps directly from your phone

Our app directory will give you access to almost all Android apps directly from the OS.
You can check if each application respects your personal data with our privacy score. It analyses each app for you and gives them a score from 0 to 10.
We are constantly adding new apps.

One ID for your privacy

/e/OS is synchronised with a free account with your email address that ends with "@murena.io".
You get 1GB of free and private storage, convenient backup and access for your mail, calendar, contacts, documents, tasks and notes

By replacing Google services with equivalent, privacy-focused services and anonymizing the few Google services that are absolutely necessary, Murena puts you in control of your data. Google does not have access to your personal information, unless you explicitly choose to install their apps. Paired with carefully selected apps and our online office suite Murena Workspace, we created a complete privacy-enabled ecosystem. You don’t have to take our word for it—you can verify it yourself, as our products are open source.

Murena smartphones offer you everything you need and are used to – without the trackers.

Keep Control of Trackers and Ads with Advanced Privacy

Murena smartphones detect and block trackers in apps, giving you the power to opt out of tracking via the Advanced Privacy widget. Hide your IP, spoof your location, and enjoy fewer ads with our built-in ad blocker, enabled by default in the web browser.

Google Search is replaced with our private meta-search engine.
A compatibility layer ensures app functionality without Google Services.
Connectivity checks use our infrastructure, not Google’s servers.
NTP Pool Project replaces Google’s time servers.
DNS defaults to your network provider, with options for 9.9.9.9 or 1.1.1.1.
Geolocation relies on Mozilla Location Services and GPS.
